Third Place Prize: $250

Additional prizes:

Two full tuition scholarships of $1,650* for the 1st and 2nd place prizewinners, and two $500 scholarships for the 3rd place prize winner and and Honorable Mention winner to attend the CSU Summer Arts Program "The Complete 21st Century Flutist".

*Full tuition scholarship is $1650 for ages 16 and older or a current undergrad. Non-CA resident winners are responsible for the difference that the CSU charges for non-res tuition. Or, if the winner is a grad student, they are responsible for the difference for upper division (i.e. already having a bachelors degree) vs undergrad tuition. All winners are responsible for housing/meal plan costs. Scholarships will only be awarded to the first 4 prizewinners.

The Complete 21st Century Flutist is a unique opportunity to spend two weeks refining every aspect of your flute playing, from traditional Baroque and classical repertoire, to jazz, to 21st c. extended techniques. Students will work closely with a handful of the top flutists, master teachers, and composers of our time: Carol Wincenc, Ian Clarke, John Barcellona, Nicola Mazzanti, Marianne Gedigian, Stephen Kujala, and Rena Urso.
