Trained at Interlochen and the University of Southern California, Daniel Kelley is a pianist, a composer and arranger, and a French hornist. In addition to being a member of the LA Opera Orchestra and the Pasadena Symphony, he worked in the motion picture industry from 1991 until 2021, performing on nearly 1,000 movies, including Star Wars Episodes VII, VIII and IX, Frozen and Frozen 2, Jungle Cruise, Wreck-It Ralph, Big Hero 6, Spiderman: Homecoming, and all of the Pirates of the Caribbean, Ice Age, Men in Black and Hot Tub Time Machine films. Creator of the Music for Two and Music for Three series, over a million books of his compositions and arrangements have sold worldwide. Daniel also bakes constantly, mosaics, annoys practically everyone with puns, and loves playing games of any kind, though Hearts and Dominoes are his current faves. His mosaics have won the Best in Show Prize at the LA County Fair multiple times. He and his wife Cynthia have three children and too many fish. Adair, Darcy and Adele are the names of the children.  

The Theory of F-L-U-Tion is an exuberant eight-minute work for Flute, Piano (live or recorded), & Electronics. This piece introduces the flutist to performance with a click track, along with the option of chordal (and totally fun!) improvisation. Designed for intermediate-to-advanced flutists, it features a theme that constantly evolves while showcasing technique, style, and versatility. The Theory of F-L-U-Tion can be performed one of two ways: with live piano and a split track (click on one side, electronics on the other) or with solely a split track (click on one side, recorded piano & electronics on the other)

Piccaresque! is a captivating four-minute-plus work for Piccolo & Piano. This luminous piece is a showcase for the intermediate-to-advanced player. Highlighting musicality and sensitivity along with friendly-key technique, Piccaresque! can be performed with a live pianist, with a recorded piano track, or with a split track (click on one side, recorded piano on the other).
